NRTP → RTP in three steps

  1. Activation: the number is new or freshly ported — status NRTP.
  2. Keep it active: recharge on time so the number doesn't lapse while you wait.
  3. Day 90 (prepaid) or 120 (postpaid): the number is RTP and ready for your buyer to port.

Questions

What does RTP mean for a mobile number?

RTP means "ready to port": the number has been active long enough to move to another operator (MNP). Before that it is NRTP — not ready to port.

How many days after activation can a number be ported?

Under India's MNP rules a number can be ported once it has been active for 90 days. NumStock uses 90 days for prepaid and 120 days for postpaid by default; both can be changed in the app.

Why do VIP number dealers track RTP dates?

Most buyers want to port a VIP number to their own operator straight away, so numbers sell faster — and for more — once they are RTP. Missing a recharge before that can lose the number.

Can NumStock remind me when a number becomes RTP?

Yes. Status flips from NRTP to RTP automatically, and you get a reminder the day before and on the day — on push, email or WhatsApp.
